Applications are requested ONLINE by Central Bank of India for filling up 3196 Single Window Operators „A‟/ SWO-A (in Clerical Cadre) posts, from eligible candidates who have appeared in the Common Written Examination (CWE) for recruitment in clerical cadre conducted by IBPS in 2011-12 and have valid Score Card issued by IBPS, Mumbai.

1. Single Window Operators ‘A’/SWO-A (in clerical cadre): 3196 Posts

Age Limit: Candidates age should be between 18 years to 28 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.

Educational Qualification: Candidate must possess Degree (10+2+3 pattern) in any discipline or equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.

IBPS Score Card (CWE): Candidates must have a valid IBPS score card in IBPS Clerk CWE – 2011-12. General candidates must have secured 24 and SC/ST/PWD/OBC candidates must have secured 21 marks in each of the tests in IBPS Clerk CWE. State wise and category wise total weighted standard score available in the notification.

Application Fee Details: Applicants need to pay Rs. 100/- for General & OBC and Rs.20/- for SC/ST/PWD/EXSM  candidates. Fee can be paid in the form of Challan downloaded from website at any branch of Central Bank of India from 22-12-2012 to 07-01-2013.

Selection Procedure

  • Candidates will be shortlisted and those satisfying the cut-offs (To be set later according to the vacancies) will be be called for Interviews. Final selection will be on the basis of overall performance (in IBPS CWE and Interviews).
  • Interview will have 50 marks in total and Min 40% in General Category and 35% for other categories will be required to pass it and to be considered for final selection.

  • The fee is Rs. 100 for Gen/OBC and Rs.20 for Others.
  • Payment can be made by Payment Challan at any Central Bank of India branch (Dec 22 – Jan 07 Only).

    3. Take the printout of the Challan and make the payment.
    4. Now revisit the website and click on the link ‘Online Application for clerks 2012’.
    5. Fill all the details in the application form and the Challan details.
    6. Click on the ‘Submit’ link.
    7. After successful submission, take two print outs of the system generated application form and retain it for any further assistance & fee receipt which has to be submitted with the call letter at the time of interview.Important Dates:

SELECTION PROCEDURE:
Depending upon the number of candidates applied for the posts, Bank may opt for:
i. Interview
ii. Group Discussion and Interview
The final selection would be on the basis of the aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in the Interview and/or Group Discussion and strictly in the order of Merit.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:-
a. Before applying for any post, the candidate should ensure that he/she fulfils the eligibility and other norms mentioned in this advertisement. Bank would be free to reject any application at any stage of the recruitment process, if the candidate is found ineligible for the post for which he/she has applied. The decision of the Bank shall be final in deciding about qualification, experience and other eligibility norms.
b. In case it is detected at any stage of recruitment that a candidate does not fulfill the eligibility norms and/or that he/she has furnished any incorrect/false information/certificate/documents or has suppressed any material fact(s), his/her candidature will be cancelled. If any of these shortcomings is/are detected even after appointment, his/her services are liable to be terminated.
c. Candidates seeking relaxation in Fee/Age must submit a certified copy of the certificate along with the application. These certificates in original in support of his/her claim will have to be produced at the time of interview.
d. Candidates belonging to OBCs but coming in the “CREAMY LAYER” as on 31.03.2012 are not entitled to OBC reservation. Such candidates should indicate their category as “General/Unreserved” only. OBC Certificates in the format as prescribed by the Govt. of India and issued by the Competent Authority inter alia, specifically stating that the candidate does not belong to the Socially Advanced Sections excluded from the benefits of reservations for OBC in Civil Posts and Services under Govt. of India i.e. carrying “CREAMY LAYER” clause based on income for the financial year 2011-2012 issued on or after 01.04.2012 should be submitted along with the application print out.

The Bank reserves the right to alter, modify or change the eligibility criteria and / or any of the other terms and conditions spelt out in this advertisement, including criteria for passing/method and procedure for selection. The Bank also reserves the right to select the candidate (without Group Discussion having been conducted) on the basis of Personal Interview only for all the posts advertised.
f. Only those candidates who fulfill / meet the eligibility criteria will be intimated for the Group Discussion and/or Interview. The names of candidates who are selected for Group Discussion and /or Interview will also be available on the Bank’s Website http://www.indianbank.in . Applicants are requested to keep track of the same by visiting Bank’s website from time to time. Similarly final selection result will be made available on the Bank’s website for candidates selected for appointment.
g. The call for Group Discussion and/or personal interviews will be purely provisional without verification of age, qualification, category (SC/ST/OBC) etc. of the candidates.
h. Appointment of selected candidates as per the requirement of the Bank is subject to his/her being declared medically fit and verification of character, antecedents, conviction in any criminal case or filing of any FIR or pendency of any criminal case. Such appointments will also be subject to the Service & Conduct Rules of the Bank.
i. Candidates will have to produce original caste and other relevant certificates like educational qualifications, experience, age, disability etc. at the time of interview, in support of his /her eligibility, as per the details furnished in the application, failing which his / her candidature will be cancelled.
j. In case of more than one application from the same candidate for same post, application submitted last will be taken as authentic / conclusive.
k. Only unemployed SC/ST candidates called for interview will be paid actual second class to-and fro rail/bus fare by the shortest route on production of evidence of travel, i.e. railway/bus receipt/ticket subject to rules in this regard. The fare for journey of first 30 kms each shall be borne by the candidate.
l. Candidates serving in Government/Public Sector Undertakings (including Banks) should produce “No Objection Certificate” from their employer at the time of interview, in the absence of which their candidature cannot be considered.
m. Only candidates willing to serve anywhere in India need apply.
n. Decision of the Bank in all matters regarding eligibility of the candidate, the stages at which such scrutiny of eligibility is to be undertaken, the documents to be produced for the purpose of the examination, interview, selection and any other matter relating to recruitment will be final and binding on the candidate.
